The funds we earn from popcorn sales are split between the Troop's general fund and individual Scout accounts. 25% of all sales proceeds go to the Scout's individual fund. And depending on what Council incentives the troop meets, approximately 10% goes to the troop's general fund. The general fund is managed by the Committee and pays for troop expenses like rank patches, merit badges, leadership patches, plus patrol equipment and supplies.
