Privacy Notice

Troop 400 does not actively collect children's personal information via this site (troop400.net) but does collect and store such information via other means as needed for regular troop operations. All information is stored appropriately according to Boy Scouts of America (BSA) Youth Protection guidelines and procedures.

Every effort is made to ensure that no information is provided publicly via this website that could be used to personally identify a minor (under age 18) Boy Scout or individual associated with Troop 400. We do maintain a secondary secure "Members Only" website (https://sites.google.com/a/troop400.net/secure-area) coupled with the main website where the troop roster is stored. Access to this area is controlled and maintained by designated BSA adult leaders registered with Troop 400 using Google Sites access permissions tools. Only adult leaders who maintain a current registration with the BSA are permitted access. Access to the Members Only area is revoked when a leader is no longer associated with the troop.

No information on this site or the secure site is disclosed to any third party other than the BSA or Redeemer Lutheran Church (our charter organization) as described in our bylaws. As such, while no consent is required since no information is collected, a parent may, at any time, request to have any information, photograph, or video removed from troop400.net if they believe it to violate this policy, allow personal identification, or otherwise risk harm to their child or violate BSA policy.

To have such content removed, simply contact a Scoutmaster or Troop Committee Member and it will be removed as soon as reasonably possible.

This privacy notice was written to comply with BSA Unit Web Site Guidelines and the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) of 2000.
